Diane Riffie recently retired as the staff accompanist for the Lee’s Summit High School Music Dept., and has worked in that capacity since 1992. In addition, she is an assistant band director, and was the lead teacher for the music department. Before teaching in the Lee’s Summit R-7 District, Diane taught K-8 vocal music at Our Lady of the Presentation in Lee’s Summit and K-12 vocal and instrumental music in Madison, Mo. She holds a Bachelors degree in Music Education from MU and a Masters degree in organ performance from UMKC. She serves as music director and organist at the Lee’s Summit Community of Christ church. Her family includes a son, John Hansen, and wife Christy, a grandson, Caleb Hansen, and a son, Aaron Riffie, and wife Kyndal, and a grandson, Caz Alan Riffie.
